We Can Be Heroes is an all-ages, not-for-profit, community event providing young musicians with an opportunity to perform live on stage. We are based in Walthamstow, Northeast London.
We are Theodora and Rob, a pair of long-time E17 residents who have been putting on club nights and gigs since 2001. We’ve DJed at some of the biggest and best venues in London and beyond, and our efforts have been acclaimed in such disparate sources as Time Out, The Guardian, Kerrang!, ITV, NME, Metro, The Evening Standard, and more. We love music, and when our own kids started playing music themselves, we discovered that there were few places for under-18s to perform in front of their peers. We Can Be Heroes started as a daytime disco playing rock, pop and indie for families, but has evolved into a showcase for young musicians.
