Turncoat Billy
Turncoat Billy was born in a brewery in Tottenham in 2022 before making E17 their spiritual home.
Blending the 60s hypnotic guitar sound of Luke Jacob with the observational wit and melody of front man Jonny Pickles, the band made waves at Christmas 2024 with their single “Snow In Walthamstow” that made #27 in the iTunes chart and #5 in their Alternative list and won a large number admirers with national radio play and celebrity endorsements.
Influences are far and wide from Belle & Sebastian to The Byrds, Creedence, Dylan, The Wave Pictures, Little Barrie and everything in between.
Known for their entertaining live sets, the group have had a busy couple of years supporting Joel Stoker on his UK tour along with The Rifles at iconic venues along the way such as Kentish Town Forum and The 100 Club.
